The impact the development of the Spaceport could have on educational opportunities for both school children and university students is immesurable. My grandfather, Clyde Tombaugh, would be thrilled at the opportunities this program can provide to space exploration. It is hard not to support the Spaceport Program.
- NIcky Rogers
The educational and economic potential is an opportunity we can not afford to let slip by us. This region has an opportunity to move from one of the poorest areas to one of the richest areas of this country.

These are exciting times for Las Cruces. Times that call for vision and courage. New opportunities for present and future generations are being generated. However, the fast moving growth of the area needs to be carefully managed and that requires creative and thoughtful leadership. Vision and courage go hand in hand, but vision without action is simply dreaming and courage without fear is foolhardy. To quote Dickins: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"; let's ensure that the actions that will be taken, will generate the best of times for Las Cruces!
